Finding a room
Where are your apartments?
In Herzliya and Ra'anana. The search page shows every home on a map.
How do I know if a room is free?
Every room shows its status: available now, available from a date, or rented. For a rented room you can ask to be told when it opens up.
Can I see the apartment before deciding?
Yes. We arrange a visit or a video call, and many homes have a 3D tour on their page.
Price and bills
What do I pay each month?
The room rent plus a fixed amount for bills and services. Both appear on the room page, with the monthly total.
What do the fixed bills cover?
Water, electricity, gas, city tax (arnona), building fees, fast Wi-Fi and even Netflix. The exact list is on each room page.
Can the price change while I live there?
No. The price is fixed for the whole rental period.
Are there one-time costs?
Some rooms have a one-time painting and cleaning fee. When there is one, it is shown on the room page.
Living in the home
Is the room furnished?
Yes. The room page lists what is in the room, and the home page lists the furniture and appliances in the shared spaces.
Who are my roommates?
Each home page shows how many rooms it has. Before you sign we are glad to tell you about the people living there and introduce you.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. WeMates is pet friendly, as long as the other roommates in the home agree.
Is smoking allowed?
Yes, in your own room, and in the rest of the home if it does not bother your roommates.
Something broke. What do I do, and who pays?
Message us on WhatsApp. Our service is available 24/7, and the repairs are on us.
What does a contract of my own mean?
Your contract is only for your room. You do not need to organise a group to rent an apartment, and if a roommate does not pay, that is not on you: you are responsible for your own rent only.
What if I want to leave before the contract ends?
Find someone to replace you, or ask us to look through our waiting list. And in the worst case you can pay a fee of two months of rent and leave right away, without finding a replacement.
Can we come as a group of friends?
Yes. We will be glad to find you and your friends a whole apartment.
